Downloads slow to a trickle, then fizzle.
 

Since I uploaded the newest version of LW, I have this new problem. After a few minutes, the upload/download rates begin faltering, eventually hitting zero. The number of sources from which I'm downloading, interestingly, doesn't seem to change. I lose the green bars. At that point, none of my Internet connections seem to work and I need to disable/enable my wireless connection to get even IE started again. I've been on 5 different ISPs in different parts of the country and the behavior is the same.

Does this only happen when you're downloading?
How many files are you downloading at once? Try reducing the number of simultaneous downloads to just a couple.
Try disabling ultrapeer capabilities (tools > options > speed). Also disable any iTunes sharing.
Reduce your upload & download bandwidth a bit.

this guy is wrong i been having same problums and or freezing downloads, majorty of time its certin versions of limewire, got to wait unitl they fix it alot people have been posting about this exact issue all week
