Internet disconnecting downloads

Help please, I have been having problems since I have upgraded my dsl speed. When running limewire, my internet service goes off ond on. I will get a message that your internet has been disconnected, immediately followed by you now have internet service. It will do this once or twice a minute, then wait for 2-3 minutes, and do it again. This will not allow limewire to connect and do any amount of serious downloading. The audio files seem to be less affected (the speed seems to be up when able to download) The video files are very slow, and never can get downloaded. I havent been able to download a single video. I have a 660 sprint modem, and a wpn824 netgear router. I have bypassed the router, and the problem continued. So I don't think it's the router.

Any thoughts or solutions would be appreciated.

Now I know I'm not insane. This is EXACTLY my problem. Also using the Sprint 660 modem, but no other routers or anything. Definetly a Sprint (now Embarq) DSL problem. I would suspect they have a way to know if a file sharing program is running and to discourage you from using it they will shut off the connection.

To clarify a bit, this is NOT a limewire program disconnect. My DSL modem will reset constantly while Limewire is running. Obviously this makes downloading impossible. This only happens on my DSL. I moved 3 months ago and at my old house I had cable internet. No Limewire problems. So in 3 months nothing has changed except the internet provider.

And again, this is only when Limewire is running. The internet connection is rock solid at all times except when Limewire is running. Me and the above guy can't be the only ones who have seen this.

Anyone now how to get this resolved?
