![]() OS:XP Pro with SP2 and latest patches Zone Alarm:6.5.737.000(Latest FREE version) Limewire:4.12.3 Java: Whatever LM 4.12.3 installs if Java isn't detected(5.0.30.7 I think.) Is there some problem with the FREE version of Zone Alarm firewall, and the latest release of Limewire PRO? I know enouph about OS architecture to be able to solve the majority of my problems. I have been trying to figure this out since yesterday evening. I have a DRAYTEK Vigor 2500 ADSL/ROUTER unit. I've forwarded more ports, and done more VPN, and SubNet work than I care to mention, so I assure you the ports are properly forwarded there. I've traced the issue to ZONE ALARM and JAVAW.EXE as described in the brief firewall config tutorial on limewire.com. I noticed there is a JAVAW.EXE IN SYSTEM32 and PROGRAM FILE\JAVA\XXXX\BIN\. I have all TRUSTED and INTERNET I/O green checked in zone alarm next to JAVAW, and Limewire still won't bind the configurable TCP, and UDP ports to the proper IP(192.168.1.10.) Also I had to give the permissions manually as upon launching limewire for the first time on this system a newer java build wasn't installed, so I didn't get the grant permission question. Any help will be appreciated! |
