connection help please!!!!!!

i have recently downloaded the new limewire basic v 4.12.6 i have never had a problem with limewire when i had the older versions but now i am unable to connect, the bars stay red at the bottom. why is this doing this?
i have uninstalled and reinstalled and its still the same.
i have also followed the help instructions which are on limewire's website but nothing seems to work. i hope someone can help

Since you do not mention which actions you've taken so far recommended at the LW website, I'd say you read yourself through the following thread and try the suggestions from there:
