To answer your question about other routers. Yes it's very likely, but there is a workaround. I'm guessing that you use wireless to connect to all routers/modems.

You will need to set up your Networkcard twice and have both disabled at startup. Meaning you set up a new connection with a static IP that your Belkin router will accept.

To find these numbers. Connect like you do normally and then go to Start>Run then type cmd in the box and press enter. Now type ipconfig /all and press enter.

A list will show up after doing this. If you have more than one networkconnection then one will show for each.

Write down the following

IP address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
DNS servers

then type exit and press enter

And now I'm stuck because I don't have a computer with Danish Windows + I never tried it myself. This is the best way though. Alternatively you could change these between automatic and adding these things everytime you use Limewire.

You could try that to see if it works, and if it does then figure out how to setup the new networkcard like I tried to explain before

Thanks, got the numbers, and i'm guessing that i'm needing now to set up my wireless card again, will it do that without writing over the one installed? anyway if that is the case i'm through playing for the night, since my software is at home in my office. One question, when i got the numbers you sent me after, there were 3 sets of numbers under the DNS servers, is that the three different connections that i do use that i have to have a passphrase for? Thanks again

Terry

Im not sure what you mean by passphrase. If there are three sets of numbers then you (should) have three ways to connect. As you haven't given any specific info on this I would guess that One is for your Office (Wireless?), one LAN (EtherNet) connection (Not wireless) and one wireless for home ?

This could BTW also be eg. BlueTooth or some other infrared (Irda) connection.

You will have to find out more on your setups and post it here to get anymore concrete help. This is impossible to just guess. You will have to fill in the blanks.

It says what the networkcards name is above the info on each one of the connections.

And default gateway is the IP you would use to access your router

I'm using a linksys pc card in my laptop to make my connections, and i'm also thinking that the three numbers are my work, home, and farm modems. The default gateway and ip address are the same as also one of the dns numbers, so what are you needing to know now or what is my next step.

OK. I don't use that kind of password protection on mine... yet

Just use the MAC Address as security (yeah, I know it's pretty irresponsible) but still much safer than nothing at all.

I really need to know more. I guessing here right now. You need to know for sure what the connection for home is (that the one you are trying to use Limewire on right?)
