The connection wont happen
 

:confused: Ever time i try to connect to lime wire the connect screen pops up and the gos away. I tryed reinstalling but no luck. can someone plz help me

Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?

Nope it just pops up for a sec and the its gone.

I'm not sure what you mean by connect screen. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Most likely step 3 for your version of LW. And also try step 5.

Ive tryed that and that dident work. it use to work but then it just stoped work.

Ok for some reason i tryed to start it up and it work dont no how but now it works.

Let's just hope it stays that way. :D

Now i can't get it to start without deleteing the limewire folder at Documents and Settings/name/Application Data and then i need to use LimeWire On Startup to get it to start.

When you're running LW, do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? If yes, then you have a firewall problem. Get back to the connections link above to solve it.

Otherwise try changing LW's compatibility mode to either windows 2000 or NT & see if it makes a difference. Instructions in step 5 for fixes for LW.

yea but the port that needs to be open is and i try compatibility mode it dident work.
