I'm Baaaack!

Greetings gang,

For those of you who have a long term memory, you might remember the problem I was having with my firewall. Well, good news! It just went away all by its self. Bad news, it's back. Again, all by its self. I've been enduring this delemma for close to six months. Any of you who wish may follow my previous thread to get all my system specs and see if you can fathom the problem. GOOD LUCK!

Z

You must be kidding,......or do you really expect any of us reading through 37 of your posts to get the specs of your system together???
Please post them again here, then we will see whether we can help you...

So Much For The "Help"

Actually, no, I'm not kidding. I submitted my specs so many times it should be up to anyone who really CARES about assisting me to find them. And I no longer need any assistance, the problem has fixed itself again.
You might think about your eastern philosophy a little more seriously when offering to help someone however.

I actually tend to use my Western European philosophy.......(see my sig).

if someone really cared for help, they would give an update and again post their problem(s)

we are not paid employees (hence have no requirements upon our time) and have our hands full dealing with decent ppl...we tend to frown upon trolls like you...

IC..what you wan't to shoot for "is on a distinguished road"

foolofthehill October 24th, 2006 09:15 AM

:Smilywais:

mickjapa108 October 24th, 2006 11:44 AM

Its cool, Ive been off the scale all my life

6_pac October 24th, 2006 09:59 PM

mickjapa108,

The little green square has to do with reputation points. You can add to or subtract from someones reputation by clicking on the little scale icon in the upper right corner of each post. You can also leave a comment on why you liked or didn't like their post. They will be able to read it but the average member won't know who it came from(I think Mods can tell).

It goes something like this::

"is on a distinguished road" = Someone has added to your reputation(Good)

"off the scale" = no one has added to or subtracted from you reputation(Neutral)

"an unknown quantity at this point" = someone has subtracted from your reputation(Bad)

It's really of no importance, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Peerless October 24th, 2006 10:00 PM

so then you won't mind if I subtract from yur reputation then?..roflmao

6_pac October 24th, 2006 10:03 PM

There is a certain satisfaction that comes from being on a distinguished road :D.

mickjapa108 October 25th, 2006 09:08 AM

6 Pac
Thanx pac sounds about right, and I would have come to the same conclusion
only, apart from me, First time posters are (on a distinguished road) to start.
START!!!, is that not a contradiction in its self, distinguished = proved, before
even starting?. Hey what would I know, Im off the scale, In England, using that term could get a man punched in the mouth, its like calling him Mad,lost it,Nutter.....Hey!! In my case its probably true, but how dose insult encorage us to use these Forums.
(Satisfaction) Thats the word Pac,justly earned too, and ive put Birdy Up for
the Nobell Prize for Patience,WoW what a thread.
Hey Pac that Peerless has blocked your Bigup Button man,Yer no anything about Lables Peerless? mmmmmmmmm Peace

Peerless October 25th, 2006 09:40 AM

w00t?

I haven't touched 6_Pac's account...so your statement rather baffles me...if I had anything against 6_Pac I certainly would never have set him on a road of better downloading..sheesh..

6_pac October 25th, 2006 10:52 AM

mickjapa108,

To the best of my knowledge my explaination is how it works. I don't know why some people start out on a distinguished road while others are off the scale. It could be a glitch or something but most certainly is nothing personal. Maybe I can help you out .

Peerless is highly respected and one of the most knowledgeable persons on the forum and has an incredible knack for nailing the trolls/spammers/undesirables that slither through here. Also some of his comments are downright hilarious :D. So I'm not sure what you meant, but my account is working fine :).

mickjapa108 October 25th, 2006 11:03 AM

Ok mate:D. Have a nice day, I'm off to work:yikes:.

Sleepless October 25th, 2006 11:14 AM

Lol.. never noticed that before. That would mean that I had a bad reputation for a long time before going on a distinguished road :D
