The best thing for the DI-Link 604 is port forwarding; see both of these instructions because I'm not sure which version you have: http://www.portforward.com/english/r...2/Limewire.htm

http://www.portforward.com/english/r...4/Limewire.htm

Need to set a static ip 1st.

After doing this let us know if you can connect.

When you said your computer is connected directly to the net, what do you mean? Are you using an internal dial up modem or something?

For software firewalls, you need to configure them. And only use one, not two. 2 will actually give you less security. I don't know about configuring about your particular ones. Firewall configuration instructions (click on link) I've heard of some people having problems with pc-cillan.

My router http://www.portforward.com/english/r...4/Limewire.htm
After going through it I am still confused. At the very bottom of the second port forwarding link it says:

"We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Limewire requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu and then click Apply.

And that is it! You are done!"

I still do not know what to put into these ports... Private IP, Private Port, and Public Port

i am not new to lm i have the latest free dl...i paid once but it was no faster so i did not subscribe again. it takes about 10 minutes to connect every time when it connects at all. the message go pro seems to work, well, when it actually works i will go pro. i use vista, and no firewall stops the connection, its not my cable connection, that used to work well, problem only developed about 5 months ago

If we had some details about your setup, it would help: System details - help us to help you -> Provide these details when you post!!!

Try disabling your performance options, deleting LW's preferences folder & replacing gnutella.net file. Instructions are here: If LW Will Not Connect

Otherwise, you can try some of the other fixes in that thread. If nothing helps, we need your system details.
