Limewire not starting up
 

I have had limewire before, and it has worked.
I got a new computer, Windows, just like before.

I installed Limewire, and it didnt freeze while downloading or anything.
But, the limewire icon on my desktop seems faded. When i click on it to start up, time sand icon thing comes up for two seconds, and then nothing happens.

Im really confused. I re-downloaded, etc, but nothing is working.

Maybe changing the compatibility mode might also have an effect. Right click the exe icon, go Properties>Compatibility and change it to Windows NT (or Windows 2000)

If that doesn't work,.....

Uninstall LW and all Java versions on your system. Reboot and then download the JRE offline installer of the newest Java version from here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
Install it and reboot again, then reinstall LW.

I am using an apple mac g5 with Mac osx 10.4.11 software, i purchased the lates version of lime wire and realised it does not work on my system,but cant go back to using my old version.
I went to page that states you can download the the old version for my system but when i do and i click on install it says theres nothing to install,can anyone help?:confused:
