| Before I do this, I have to ask myself, "should I?" Will I notice a considerable increase in download speed? What will be the overall advantages? I don't mind if the brick wall is there as long as things are running smoothly. Thanks |

| Well, in the Limewire FAQ section, it clearly states some firewalls are okay. http://www.limewire.org/wiki/index.p...Questions#fir1 But if anyone knows how much of a performance boost I can get without the firewall, if any, I would much appreciate it. Thank you |

| It may make a difference and then it may not...You should do an online speed test to see if it will or not, if your speeds from that indicate a better performance speed then maybe you should Port Forward.... Firewalls can also stop you from sharing your files and direct connect is out of the question as well...
