Limewire Internet Problem
 

Cannot connect to Limewire. It shows the globe with the brick wall. My windows firewall is turned off. We use Windows live one care program. Turned that firewall off also and still get the same thing. Cannot connect and still has the globe with the brick wall. I have went through adding gnutella and the listen to port, the ip address, and the tcp radio and the udp radio button. and it still wont let me connect to download.

Someone said that maybe limewire blocked its downloading, which is fine if I would have to subscribe to the limewire pro, I just dont want to pay to subsribe and still not be able to connect to download.

I have also changed my maximum downloads and uploads and disable ultrapeer also.

I can still however listen to my music already downloaded.

Limewire doesn't control the content of the network and can't shut the network down. LW is a filesharing program. Each individual computer is part of the network. There's no central server to shut down. So buying Pro won't solve your connection problem.

Unless your on a dial-up connection, your connected to the internet through a modem/router that probably has an internal NAT firewall and it needs to be configured also. Read through this thread for instructions: Connection problems? Check here first!

512 ram
38.2 gb--- 6.25 gb free--- ntfs file system
dsl connection
trying to connect from house
limewire version 4.12.6 java 1.5.0_06
eatel fiberedge digital
simple test says your test worked
not charing connections
this is a new problem have been using limewire for almost a year.

What's the name(make, model) of your modem? Thats the box your phone line connects to.
