Can not start limewire because of connection

Hi

When I start up limewire says it can't connect to the network. And that this might be caused by a firewall. I do not use a firewall and I have an active internet connection. (I can even have Internet open, and internet works, or other program's like kazaa, they work fine to).

List:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
Windows ME

2. What firewalls you have?
None

3. How much ram?
128 MB

4. Hard Disk space available?
1GB (Yes I know it's not much but this is the c: drive where I installed limewire. I have not been able to set-up the download directory since I havn't been able to start up limewire.

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
Broadband

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
No router. Modem is a ******* I believe. However it has no build in firewall and it's not possible to port forward or do other things with it. I host some websites 24/7 and I have no problems with them. I also host game servers some times, have a ftp wich is up some times (and works properly). And I can even work with other p2p program's like kazaa.

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?
My own house.

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
Limewire Version: 4.12.6 (downloaded on 13.11.2006)
Java Version: 1.5.0.09 (downloaded on 13.11.2006)

9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?
@home (The Netherlands)
I also have other pc's on wich limewire works perfect.

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
It says Your test worked.
I've done some port scans from my friends place, and 6346 is not closed.

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
Normally yes, but I've disconnect everything. Even my router. So this should not be the cause.

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
1st time I installed limewire on this computer. But I've had plenty of expirerence with limewire before.

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
Since I am not able to start limewire I suppose I don't see a brich wall.

The funny thing is I'm connected, and it says I'm not. I checked my network connection and it's up. I can acces the internet. I also have no mailfunction(s) in the device manager.
I've removed the other network adapter I've had (a modem). So I only got 1 connection available.

So could anyone please tell me why I can not seem to get limewire working. I would really apriciate the help.

You are getting a firewall from somewhere. Possibly from your ISP.
You say you have a router but it has no firewall. Most (not all) do, so are you sure. Most routers have internal NAT firewalls.

If you're networked & can connect from other computers, then perhaps the problem is with your network set up. Not in regards to connecting but for others to access your computer. Since LW tends not to allow connection sometimes if it senses a firewall.

BTW you don't have to install LW on C drive. And also don't need to have C drive as your downloads location.

Like I said. I do have a router. But in this case I disconnected it. So only the my modem is standing between the computer and my isp. I'll try to contact my isp but I doubt they are blocking the ports/p2p possebilities because other people with the same isp can use Limewire.
