Default Help....Please

My LW connects when I first start the program, disconnects quickly, and will not reconnect. This problem has just recently started, I have completely uninstalled, and reinstalled LW, with both the online and offline version, with the same results. I have gone to the forum, searching for answers, trying several recommended fixes, with the same problem.
1. OS version? Windows XP Pro
2. What firewalls you have? McAfee
3. How much ram? 1.25G
4. Hard Disk space available? 30G
5. Connection type? DSL
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Netgear Router FVS318
7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home
8. What version of LimeWire? LW 4.12.6 JAVA 1.5.0_09
9. Who is your ISP provider? Earthlink
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Says Test Worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Yes, other computers, on a LAN thru the router, other computers run LW with no problems.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem, experienced user
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

If you're using McAffee firewall, then disable XP's firewall. Go to Control panel to do that. For your Netgear, most such devices if they support UPnP then it's enabled by default. However, you should verify that it is. Telnet into it to find out. I don't have direct instructions for your model, but another netgear model is here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...gearMR814.mspx

But then again, if other computers on LAN are running LW fine then perhaps UPnP is not the issue.

Another option is to try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

I have already disabled the Win XP firewall, tried deleting the LW Preferences folder, and have even gone as far as uninstalling LW completely, and then searching for any LW leftovers, and deleted them as well. Reinstalled LW with the online install, as well as the offline install, and still have the same problem. My computer is the exact same as one of the other computers, and the other one has no problem connecting, or staying connected. Was wondering if it could have anything to do with the Network card going bad...is that a possibility? I have not had connection problems when I am online, only with my LW connection.
Thanx

Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall. Change listening port to 64049. Restart LW.

If still no good, go back to advanced>firewall & turn UPnP off temporarily. Then change connection port to 64049. Trun UPnP on again. Restart LW. See if it makes any difference.

Are you running this LW whilst you have the other LW's running on the other computers? If yes, then try turning those ones off temporarily to see if that's the issue (the other ones are stealing all the bandwidth.)
