client is leaf node shielded by an Ultrapeer ???

When i try to search i get no search result. When i click monitor "enable" i get this message:
"your client is leaf node shielded by an Ultrapeer. Hence you will see a few or no search in the monitor window"

1- I have no firewall
2- i read "connection problems" and also click the link http://www3.limewire.com:6346 and The page said 'Your test worked!'.
3- I have no virus program to block Limewire
4- my system is mac os 9.2.2 on imac. i can use Limewire 4.0.1
5- 312 MB rem, 40 CB HD
6- adsl connection

how i can fix this ?

ie: System details - help us to help you (click on link) ;) :)

BTW the message saying you're being protected by a UP is simply saying you're connected as a leaf as are 80+% of other users. Ultrapeers help you to connect to the network, & also filter out unnecessary traffic from you. So don't be alarmed by that message when trying to see incoming messages.

The searches you'll see on the monitor page don't relate to your own searches...what you see there are other peoples searches. Your ultrapeers only send you requests that might fit your shared files...you're shielded from all the other irrelevant requests. That's why you see few results in the monitor window:wink:

If you get no results when searching, check the thread below for advice
Blank results page

Yes but did you make sure that your maximum searches weren't set at zero? Did you try to download a magnetmix file? Was it successful?
Did you do a search within LW for a very common group...what happened?
You aren't telling us who your ISP is, are you?
Did you delete your LW preferences folder?
Did you try using another p2p app & if so, did the same thing happen?

Don't sit there & bang your head at me after I've given you a link with lots of things to try & you don't even have the courtesy to tell me what you tried & what the outcome was:p

Are you connected properly (how many green conection bars do you see)?

ok , you are right, i am telling each by each. because i search the net also couldnt find any result about this topic. So this will be an archive too.

1- maximum search is 8 righ now. not zero

****2- having problem with magnetmix.. it says "magnetmix is not registered protochol" .. i click the link "Problems downloading?" it says if i have this problem i need to download Limeware.. but i already download it. (Mozzilla 1.3.1) and turn my face to download page again..

*i tried it with internet Explorer mac os classic version again.. the same problem appear.
*Now with "opera" different browser.. no way the same.. i have limeware. but magnetmix is not working..

3- i am using ISP : Turk Telekom (adsl)
4- i search with LW images also. no result. no mp3 either. (examples: Sting, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Madonna .. no result of them)
5- i use igetter without any problem. interarchy also. Napster working good at the past but i have only LW right now. )
6- this HD is very new, i change my new hd, with new system. imposible to have a virus. There is no program on it right now. only my system runing.

Look at the bottom left of LW's page...how many green connection bars do you see (not internet connection but connection to LW's network)?

Try deleting LW's preferences folder. Check LOTR's post below for the location in OS 9.2.2 (sorry, didn't realise you were a Mac user til I saw you'd edited your first post)
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...77&postcount=2

Since the magnetmix files weren't downloading, it could be a problem with your ISP. Those files usually download very quickly. The only other reference I can find on the forum to Turk Telecom is that original thread I linked you to. Google also isn't much help, I can't find any info to really suggest that they're anti-p2p...you've used other p2p without a problem so I wouldn't think it's that:confused:

Do you see the LW firewall icon (nothing to do with whether you have a software firewall!!) - a brick wall in front of the blue globe at the bottom of LW's interface?

Are you connecting through a modem/router? Also, where do you connect from (house, apartment, school, student accommodation etc)?
