Connection Yes, Bandwidth No

I am experiencing a problem. When I launch Limewire, I get a strong connection and the firewall globe has no brick in front of it. I can search for files but when I try to download, nothing happens. Depsite having say 100 sources for a file, nothing downloads. I have my upload and download bandwidth settings at 100%^ but they still show at 0kb on the screen. Why is it I can connect to the network but cannot download anything?

Using a Dlink DI-624 router (uPNP enabled), Windows XP, Comcast as ISP provider. Version 4.12.6 and 4.13 both work this way.

Please help!

Try downloading a magnet link from here http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml
Tell us what happens re: connecting & speed.

Be aware of this Beware of Fake files in search results

Weird. I tried downloading a *.pmf file and it downloaded perfectly at about 110kb/s. Do you know why certain file types will work and others won't? Or is it just like going to the doctor with a cough and it mysteriously goes away when you're at the office?! I cannot download mp3 or avi files...

For video files, get in the habit of using Bitzi.

For audio files, see How to find music

Very weird. I never used to have such issues! I was able to get it to work thanks to your help. Much obliged, LOTR!
