 Just to clarify. Some ISPs charge extra for a static IP (A global static IP). The static IP you need to have is a Local Static IP. You can still have a Local static IP, even if your global is dynamic (just ask WW  ) You do need to get the DNS server numbers (two IP addresses) from your ISP though, and if they give you crap about that, then you give them the hard time. I think they are even obligated to give them out to customers when asked. And WW is right, if they told you those things, they have no idea what they are talking about.  |
