Default PlusNet

Hi,

I have been having problems connecting to Limewire for WEEKS (wouldn't connect at any time of day or night), and only came across this forum yesterday.

I read various posts and was pleased to notice Plusnet mentioned a few times. So when I tried " http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ " yesterday, I was getting "Page Cannot Be Displayed". So, I changed the port number and everything was fine, and I presumed I'd fixed it.

Today, this new port number isn't working and I have tried TONNES, but none of them work. I have tried deleting the Prefs folder, tried using Manual Port Forward (with same port number in box), tried various proxies, but I still cannot connect.

However, there is something strange. If I go to " http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ " now, I get "Your Test Worked!".

But using port number 6346 means I still cannot connect to Limewire! I can understand why ISP's block certain ports, but not why it should work one day and not the next!

Anyone any ideas? Especially as the test on port 6346 suggests it should work.

I have tried loads of ports in the range 49XX as suggested, but to no avail.

Cheers.

The "open" range to try is 49152 - 65535. And a popular one is 64049. Although one plusnet user said they used port 4915 with success. Not sure about the others.
