As soon as I start Limewire...my MAC addy gets blocked help?
 

Im at a hotel that has a wireless network and I have been trying to figure out how to use limewire here, but as soon as I start limewire, my computer loses all connectivity to the network. I assume its an automated mac address blocker because it is almost instant.

I can change my mac address and get back on the network and internet, but if I start up limewire again, same thing happens again.

When I log onto the network and open up IE i am redirected to http://www.bestwestern.com/speedlinks/ where I have to agree to the terms and conditions.

What kind of setup is this? Why am I being redirected to that webpage? How can I get around having my mac addy blocked? or can I? is there any way that I can make my mac address invisible? or at least misleading?

not really this kind of set up is done because the hotel does not want you to use that program so when you try to access those ports it blocks your mac address for probably a couple of days and there is nothing that can be done aside from diverting limewire to use another port or hacking the network config files both of which probably violate the tos that you agreed to.
