connection problem
 
I can't get connected to lime wire, and if i do i get a poor connection.
1. OS version? windows xp
2. What firewalls you have? windows but i've turned if off
3. How much ram?1 gig
4. Hard Disk space available?200 gig
5. Connection type? satellite
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?modem (surf beam) router(di-624 ver c3)
7. Where are you trying to connect from home
8. What version of LimeWire 4.12.6 java 1.5.0_10
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Xplornet
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? your test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? no
12. Is this a your 1st try at FW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. i'm new to limewire, but i have gotten a connection but weak
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of FW's interface? yes, even when i've disabled the firewall

I've also checked to make sure that the upnp setting on dlink is enabled.

have no other firewalls. i have no virus protection that could be firewalling it.

i've talked to the isp and they say that they do not filter, have a proxy, or a firewall in there modem

any help would be appreciated

Rather than running without a software firewall, you're better off to configure your firewall

What antivirus protection are you using?

You could try port forwarding for your router. On the page below there are a few different DI624 choices...I guess you'll have to have a look through & see which suits you best.
