Ultrapeer

You pro ultrapeer advocates must be getting better search results than the rest of us. I have 2 machines connected at the same time one is 1.7 and the other 2.0. The same search will fill the screen on the 1.7 machine and give NO results with 2.0. In my opinion that SUCKS!

Forwarded our msgs to the Limes

HI all -
I fwd'd my own msg to the moderators and I believe that is what prompted TruStarWarrior to post.
Unfortunately, as we can all see, s/he did not address our concerns about LW2, offering again some cryptic ultra-brite, (:D) ultra peer promises.

I've spent more for a shot of good booze - so I guess like all others who desire function over "innovation" I will use only the older version of LW, look for what I want and quit trying to let the Limeys know about concerns of shortcomings in their recent releases.

Anybody have a fun racing game that they can recommend? - I feel the need for speed, careening and a general revving up of my whole system after the plodding disappointment of LW2 "pro."

I also agree the new system is garbage. I want my old Limewire back not this piece of junk. I should have kept the old one. Looks like I will be switching to Morpheus. I took it off when this one was great but now this one is worthless.I only get one connection with worthless results. Example: I typed in Jimmy Hendrix and got ONE file. Purple Haze and the ip to it was red. Thanks Limewire.

When I start LW 1.8 on the same machine after 15 minutes I can search 1500 hosts for a gazillion files. So where's the benefit of moving to 2.x?

That's a bug NOT a feature so would someone please step forward and fix it? This thread has been running for two weeks now and still nobody at Limewire seems to realize that there IS a problem.

I'm a moderator, not a developer. I answered the question as best as I could. PM afisk if you would like to contact the developers directly.

connection problems

 I can't get more than 3 hosts with 2.02 and nothing D/Ls in-tact. I've D/L'd 1.8 and it magically installs another 2.02; no good:o Where's our fix-it team

if u want to run 1.8 then you'll have to delete any limewire files (2.0) that were on your computer from before.

i'd love to DL 1.8 again, but where is it? all the 2.x stuff was uninstalled, and deleted, and i DLd the "basic" version, but the same "ultrapeer"-1-connection problem remains...

1.8

:D Go to the limewire ftp site and change the address end from X.X to 1.8; I had to "save as" cuz it was text on screen but Stuff-it Expander gave me the Installer and all is calm on my battlefield -- 1.8 and still rockin!!!!!!
