Only 1 bar on connection at all times

I can only get one bar to come up on my connection. I have restarted, redownloaded the program, checked all of my settings, did the seetings for firewall, and am now running out of patience. I have NOT search at all much load download anything. It says it is searching but nothing ever comes up.

Anyone know of anything else to do?:(

My connection sucked when I had another p2p program running...or it could be your service provider (some block ports or shape bandwidth to stop p2p usage).

Can you give us more information?

Did you disable Windows firewall? You did not mention it under firewalls, although you run Windows XP. It is recommended that you have only one firewall on your computer, or they may interfere with each other.

Go to control panel...Windows firewall...disable

Have you read this?
