Can't connect, NEED HELP!

I have Limewire 4.9.30. There is only one bar and it continually says connecting. And there is a brick wall in front of the globe. I've redownloaded Limewire a few times, checked all firewalls, and nothing worked. I'm out of ideas of what to try next. Someone please help me.

IDK is the 1st problem we can't move beyond. Sorry!!! You need to take more research action to find this info out. ;)
What is the shield firewall? Do you have a link for it? I've never heard of it before AFAIK.

For a start, if you're running XP then disable XP's firewall if you're using another software firewall. ;) :)

Ok, where do I find the ram and router?

Lord of the Rings December 31st, 2006 05:56 PM

That's the device the computer connects to to reach the internet. You say you're using cable so there's either one or 2 devices there. Grab them & look for brand names & model numbers. Ignore serial numbers!!!

Did you set an allowance for Limewire in the firewall 1st? Check the way it's done for most forums Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

BTW what happens if you type http://192.168.0.1 into your browser ... try I.Explorer.

hannahelizmc December 31st, 2006 06:10 PM

When I type that into the address bar, it comes up page can't be displayed.

I'll check if I set an allowance now..
