Can't Search for Any Files Not sure what the dealy-o is here, but I'm desperately looking for help/assistance to let me know what I'm doing wrong. I manually connect and in the connections window it appears that something's going on. The green connected light is on in the lower left part of my lime wire screen. However, when I go to the Search screen and enter any name and request to search any file, nothing happens. I'm on a Macintosh OS 9.x. The connection window will simultaneously display incoming and outgoing connections that will randomly disconnect. Can someone help or advise me what to do or correct to remedy. Thank you much. |
connections I have had a lot of problems keeping connections up and running for any significant amount of time ever since I upgraded to LW v1.8c (it seems everyone is having problems). I've tried everything suggested in these forums. Most worked. However, i just stumbled on one that made the difference for me. I just lowered the amount of connections limewire keeps up from 6 to 4. 6 connections seems to be the default for a cable/DSL connection in LW v1.8c. Maybe that's too many for that speed??? who knows. All I know is that when I had LW v1.6c, 4 connections was the default and I never had any problems. Botton line. lower the number of connections you are keeping. good luck |
