Default Odd Connection Problems...

Running XP-SP2
DSL H/W: RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC
Limewire connects to the network.
I have added ports, made firewall adjustments, and have no limitations on my downloads, (and no obstructive S/W) yet;
it seems I have trouble with large files only.
I can D/L smaller files, and decent size files, though things like movies & such, it seems to have a problem with.
When I try to obtain such files, it merely hangs up on "Connecting..."
...any help would be appreciated.

You're probably seeing fake files. Have a look through the 2 threads below for more info & tips (the second one has info that applies to movies too, not just music) Always check a video file with Bitzi before download.

Fake files showing up in search results

How to find music

Thank you. I will check it out.
I rarely search for music, mostly just videos.
The file will at least seem to have a good number of sources, even into the 100's. The search results look rather normal actually. different sources sharing the same file/size, etc.
When attempting to D/L, the most often result is, after quite a while trying to connect, the result is "Need more sources" even with a high-end source count.

Stay away from files with huge numbers of sources (unless the Bitzi ratings look ok)...they're very often fake.
