Ok, well I recently got a new PC and decided to install LimeWire, so I downloaded the 4.12.6 version, but when I click the Limewire icon and it says something about my machine not haveing an active internet connection, or a firewall is blocking limewire from accessing the internet. Im on the internet so its not that, so I figured it was the firewall, I have 2 that I know of on the computer, the windows firewall and the norton internet security one. I tried everything, I turned them both off, I tried keep one on and the other off, I tried configuring it (not sure if I did it right though), but it just seems like this brickkwall in front of the globe wont go away  So thats where you come in, I need help getting rid of this mystery firewall, its really getting annoying :bangh: Oh yea, on my old computer it ran limewire perfect right after downloading it, I didnt have to switch anything, if theres anything you guys need to know just say (Im no computer genious so you will have to guide me through stuff) ok, just found this and I guess I need it, ill do my best to fill it out, like I said, im no whiz with computers 1. There's probably not a real lot you can do, besides changing ISPs...Try changing the Port numbers it may help... |
