 Can't connect I've been using LW for over a year and today cdn't connect....Bar kept saying 'starting connection'. I've read all the solutions but I'm really computer illiterate and most of the jargon is completely lost on me!! I've allowed my Windows firewall to allow LW so the wall has gone from my globe but is this safe in the long run? I've never had to do this and do not know why LW has failed on me suddenly! Pls help as I NEED LW!!!!  |

| wondering why, this is the third post on this issue for chow chow, I did tell him/her to post on one thread only, they have been asked for all the usual info but as yet have failed to reply....perhaps its spam!!!! lol |

| Thanks for the heads up....chow-chow I just went and checked your previous posts and seeing that Tiscali is your ISP tells me that's where your problem lays...Also you have mentioned that you have no firewalls blocking LWs access...You may have become a heavy downloader and popped up on Tiscali's radar and now they are blocking you...(I hope that's not to technical)...

| I'm still hving trouble..... Was wondering if Tiscali had blocked me but I've recieved no e-mail from them in regards to this... I've taken my firewall off LW but cannot download and no-one is uploading from me either. All this is sooo frustrating and all I read on other threads just confuse me more!! I have no idea where to start to rectify all this and I use LW everyday and it's killing me!!!! What do I do now?? (Easy baby steps pls! I'm a girl!!) |

| Try changing ports. This has allowed a couple of Tiscali customers to connect recently. In LW go tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Change LW's listening port to one in the range of 49152 - 65535 (say 64049) > apply > ok. It's not guaranteed to fix things for you, but it's really simple & worth a try. (us girls can be just as good at this stuff as the guys are  ) |
