Limewire connection problems, tried lots of things please help!!!

Hi, Iam running a linksys wag54gs router/modem and have another computer wirelessly connected with a usb speedbooster dongle.

My problem is that i cannot connect to limewire or utorrent. However i was able to connect to them both with this router when i was with tesco broadband. I then changed isp to tiscali broadband and obviously had to change some settings on the router/modem and neither of them work anymore (limewire or utorrent).

I have been on portforwarding website and changed my ip to a static one then went through the stages for getting limewire to work put the listening port in the port forwarding thing on the ip setup linksys page thing and it still didnt work.

I have also been on the phone to linksys changing the address to a static ip with them doing it slightly different and still nothing works.

I have also upgraded the firmware to the latest version etc.

The ip is now back to a dynamic one.

Also tried turning the firewall off and un-installed reinstalled limewire etc etc. (obv put firewall back on now)

now really dont know what else i can do and in desperate need of help.
Network stuff is new to me but tried lots.

Please help!?

Search the forum for Tiscali & you'll see a lot of people are in the same boat.

can't connect between 5pm-11pm
Tiscali blocking Limewire
Limewire working perfectly - now not at all !!

I have found a solution to getting Limewire to work with Tiscali

Have a look through those threads. See if the solution works for you. You'll also find more info about changing ports within a couple of threads:)
