What A Run Around I'm Getting !!! To everyone thinking of joining Limewire PRO.. At first I was only a BASIC member and had No problems, but I upgraded to Limwire PRO and thats when I had nothing but problem after problem Trouble connecting,,takes about six hours to connect and 3/4 of the time I don't get the Turbo speed, After a while, I am shoved back into the Basic mode. In addition, it takes forever to down load all of my songs After ""numerous emails"" to the support team, their answers to my problems were always the same but nothing resolved,still having same issues and now , I can't even get SUPPORT TO ANSWER ME anymore !! SOOOOOOOO,,If you intends to upgrade to Pro,, think twice about it for you will more than likely get the ""RUN AROUND"" as i did and still do.. |
Not sure why you are having so much trouble but I bought Pro and also updated to 4.13 a few mnths ago and I will never use basic again. Pro is the only way to go. |
Yep i never had problems with mine i got tired of Basic it would freeze up on me got annoying fast than i whent to pro 4.12.6 works great never had a problem again. Chris B......... Im sharping my Blade :butcher 2: |
Limewire Pro You know Guys LW Pro is just like any other PC app, i.e. with a majority of people it will work on their PCs with little or no trouble but for an unlucky minority it seems to cause no end of trouble. So, JP144, instead of griping you should provide us, the forum members, with the following: 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98, XP,OSX ) XP users Please state XP firewall on or off.? 2. What firewalls you have? 3. How much ram? 4. Hard Disk space available? 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? 7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
