won't connect .

I got a new laptop recently that has Windows Vista. I installed the latest Limewire on it but when I open it, after it tries to connect, this message comes up:

Your machine does not appear to have an active internet connection or a firewall is blocking limewire from accessing the internet.

But the internet connection is fine and I'm pretty sure Limewire is on the allow list of my firewall. =/ I can't download anything; it all comes up with 'needs more sources'.

Help?

Sounds like LimeWire is connecting try choosing files to download that have fewer sources 10 or less most of the files that have allot of sources are fakes.

Sorry I forgot to mention; the connection signal thing at the bottom left corner doesn't seem to get any higher than 'starting connection'.

The link below will take you to the instructions for setting up your router to Port Forward for LimeWire.

If you look above where it says (Do Not Skip This Step) enter Static IP above that in Orange letters it says (Static IP Address) click on that and it will take you to instructions for setting up a static IP
