after two years a brick wall has just appeared
 

these are my details any way if you can help me out, I am not computer literate though. i have been using limewire for two years with absolutely no problems as far as me or my family knows there has been no firewall added except the windows xp one that we have always used and limewire worked with this. we use ad-aware and spybot but have always used that. so we can only think an update has maybe distorted our settings. please talk me through it in simple terms as i have got lost with other posts. thank you! 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
YES

1. Have you set up your D-Link for UPnP use? See the UPnP section here Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

2. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) But make a note of all our option settings 1st, because next time you start LW you will need to reset them. :)

wen i try to use the enable dlink to upnp part the default password and username does not work. i have already deleted the preferences with no luck. i am also finding the instructions hard to follow as i am really not at all familiar with the terms.
