complete list of ports plz. I have read over and over the issues of port # 6346, and it is allowed. However the other eleven that are being blocked befuddle me. I use xp2, 160 GB drive, 448 RAM, 3400 amd, DSL, speedstream 4100 (siemens), SBC/ATT. I just downloaded Limewire to see how it was. So far, :bangh: |
What other 11 port numbers... Do you see a brick wall in front of the globe ?? Who is your ISP ?? It's best to use port numbers between 49152 up to 65535, try this one 64049.... |
yes, my firewall is still blocking. some of these ports are 1900 30002 20095 6343 6347 11183 13165 17838 9616 5535 14231 8000 1935, and they all want to be open together. Thats alot used all at once is it not. Oh, my ISP is sbc/att. |
Can you supply these details please... System details - help us to help you |
That was in my first post. Sorry it wasn't in form. 1.windows XP2 2.I have but do not use windows firewall, I use iolo (System Mechanic) wall 3. 448 RAM 4.147 available GB 5.DSL over PPPoE 6.Speedstream4100 Ethernet modem no router 7.I'm at home 8.LW 4.12 Java 1.5 9. ATT/SBC 10. I did this test after opening port 6346, it worked fine. 11. This is the only PC in the house with no other P2P programs. 12. First time user, yes. 13. Yes the wall is up. I do'nt see how any of this will help you tell me why you are using unsigned port numbers. What it actually seems like is some sort of port scanner running. Kind of the same as when I had Mirc on my computer. |
This info does help me...It tells me you have a built in NAT Firewall in your modem/router....It also tells me that you will have to Port Forward to get the wall in LW to go away...So you see we don't ask these questions to just waste your time or ours.... Follow the instructions in this link and make sure you do the static IP or it won't work.... http://www.portforward.com/english/r...0/Limewire.htm |
Wow, that's a lot of work. I still can't figure out why the program when I conected wanted to use all of those different ports, but it was all very informative. That was a very usefull link. By the way, I turned on Windows firewall and paused my other one and LimeWire being configured to work with Windows had no trouble at all. I do not like W.F. so I will not use it for long though. I will get back to you if the forward does not help. :gimmimore: |
