![]() i have read through this forum and tried every tip that i could find. im using windows xp and i dont mean to repeat what has already been said but i was downloading fine from limewire and suddenly it wouldn't work anymore. I have tried deleting the .limewire file and i disabled tips and i changed to manual connection. i also tried switching off all firewalls but yet limewire still is detecting one blocking the connection. my firewall setting are definitely set to allow limewire to function. i would be very grateful if anyone out there can help! when it did work for me, i loved this site and really want to get it back up running again! really dont want to let ludite tendancies take over with me! thanks in advance! |

![]() I think that Clearwire is your problem http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...8&postcount=37 http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...928#post204928 You could try changing ports (see my second link) but I'm not sure that it'll do much good. |

![]() Well, here it goes. I've been a limewire user for years, and i've been keeping up with the versions (currently with 4.10.9.) and recently i've come across a cripling problem. My limewire, out of nowhere, pulled a "fatal error" that had something to do with my version of java, which i fixed. That was about a month ago, and since then i havn't been able to connect. It remains on "you are currently connecting to the network", yet it is still downloading a movie i started downloading before this whole fiasco (at up to 50kbps!). I tried everything i could think of, and wound up here. Here are some of my details: Windows xp home edition sp2 Limewire 4.10.9 I tried the internet test and it worked just fine. The bug report said "False" I have cogeco high speed internet When i view the "direct connect" tab under search, it says my computer is behind a firewall or router. My connection status is "leaf" and i have no hosts I work from a wireless network. I love limewire, and i would greatly appreciate any sort of help. And help the guy above me as well! Good luck everyone, Jake. |
