How is this possible ?

Limewire Pro tells me that 'your machine does not appear to have an active Internet Connection or a Firewall is blocking Limewire from accessing the Internet'.
However, I'm able to access Google, surf the net and post on this forum.
There is no 'brick-wall' icon next to the 'globe' icon on Limewire Pro's page, I have 'allow full access' regarding Limewire on my security system and my monitor icon on the taskbar says 'status-connected'. So anyone have any thoughts on what's wrong here ?
Edit - downloaded 'purger .zip' but everything happened so quickly I don't know where it went, did a search, no results, so where could it be ?
I've read the sticky and believe my ISP does not block Limewire since I have downloaded tons of stuff in the past without problems.
More info - Modem in living room - Wireless Router near Modem - Computer at the other end of the house in bedroom (about 20 feet away).
Problems like this with Limewire are intermittent.
A wee bit more - in the sticky 'for those who can't connect' when you say 'delete the entire directory' do you mean delete the limewire folder within 'Documents & Settings' ? How will Limewire run without that folder ?

I think you're talking about deleting the preferences folder? That folder contains your preferences within LW's options. Delete the folder & a new one will be created when you restart LW. But all options will have reverted to default...you'll have to go back through options & reset things to the way you like them;)
See point 3 below for instructions. Make sure LW's properly closed before you delete the prefs!
Fixes for LimeWire

If that doesn't help, please post your details.

That message may pop up if the connection was interrupted. Once the connection came back up the dialog may not have cancelled itself (I thought this was fixed a while back . . . ).

Appears to have worked.

So far so good, deleted .limewire folder and now have Turbo-Charged Connection, only hope it lasts. Still don't know why problem occurred in the first place.
One problem however, now I have tons of music vid's that were previously available for sharing now with red text. I clicked on 'share file' but none of the file's changed to black. WHY ?
SORRY, checked again and as I speak file's are changing to black - WHOOPEEE !
