Please Help (not connecting)
 

tells me that 'your machine does not appear to have an active Internet Connection or a Firewall is blocking Limewire from accessing the Internet'.
I have cked all settings and firewall ,etc. Only have this prob on laptop,my home omp doesn't do this. also on laptop at the top of limewire when I am searching it says in highlighted ONLY SEARCH w/a lock are offical,etc. I don't have this come up on my hoe comp. PLEEEASE help!

That banner was added because there's a bogus LW update showing up in search results. It's a 75.7 KB .exe & shows up as "Urgent LW update - download & install now". If people download & install that thing they could end up infected. So, to make sure everyone knew that it was crap, the warning banner was added.
It's just to make sure everyone knows what's a real LW update & what's not.

The padlock symbol doesn't apply to music or video etc;)

Check here for help with your connection problem. Start off by making sure that you're only using 1 software firewall & that it's configured properly.
