ok i recently upgraded to broadband i have windstream service but i cant use limewire i have adjusted my firewall even turned it off how can i uselimewire someone help

Windstream gets their backbone connection from AT&T Worldnet, and that network
tends to block P2P on a rotating basis to ch3ap out on bandwidth.

The blockade will probably move on to other areas in a few weeks or less, unless
Windstream wants to keep it blocked permanently to save money.

You could try Azureus for bittorrent downloads and search for torrents on The Pirate Bay to feed to it.

If your ISP has a newsgroup server, the Nomad News newsreader is easy to use.

I just downloaded the free version of lw and I cannot get connected. i try searching for something and it says connecting may not bring many results until done and nothing ever comes up and it never shows that i connect or anything. on the connections page it shows hosts trying to connet but they never do they go off. i don't know what to do or how to fix please someone help me. Thanks:confused:

I have windstream to. I paid for limewire Pro but no help on the problem. I down load it from the link limeiwre sent me in e mail . It says lime wire Pro but after you down load and open it is says limewire NO Pro. :bangh:

What site did you originally sign up and pay for Pro at and how much did you pay ??

I went here [edit] and it cost me $18.88 I even called lime wire and this is the same link they sent me. I had it loaded before i had to reinstall everything after dell tech worked on it.

I edited that link out so no-one can access your personal download page and nick your Pro...;)

It should be working and when you said you rang limewire where did you get the phone number from...

Open Limewire click on help then click on about limewire and see what version it says your using....

ok i have windows XP and i only have limewrie basic it wont allow me download in the bottom left hand corner were the green bars should be full i have no green bars

The only thing that may help you to connect is to Port Forward, but you still have not supplied your details like I asked earlier...

i didnt call limewire i went to limewire.com to download it the lime wire version is the newest version avaible for basic

i was really stupid
and i clicked enqueqe then delete on like 40 songs on limewire. is there ANY way i could get those back other than having to find and download each of them individually (i know i spelled that wrong..) i have them in my mp3 playlist.

Once the files have been deleted from the LW library usually means they have gone for good...The only suggestion I can make is to have a read through this thread and follow the tips on the file recovery programs...;)
