10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It says, "Your test worked."
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem, experienced user

I just installed the new version of java, and the blue world is still blocked. This time, though, when I moused over it, it read "limewire has detected a firewall". I turned off my Windows firewall, I turned off my Webroot Spysweeper firewall, which I've always had while using Limewire in the past, by the way, and it still says it detects a firewall. Where in the heck is this firewall at? How do I find it?
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Default Same Problem

I'm having the same problem. I noticed it started after I downloaded some Windows Updates.

It connects no problem.

I've browsed connections and removed connections that had errors on them. This didn't work.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Atreyuu Hi.
You can turn Webroot back on, I personally use this security & they have never
interfered with L/W. When you upgrade L/W, go to webroot firewall permissions
and change L/W to always ask, Start L/W and it will reapply for permissions,
Give full permissions, Don't forget to untick the box, always ask for this prog.

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers ?

Also I would ring Charter & ask if they are shaping your connection, or if they have any added firewall.
Peace.

Wow....looks like Im not the only one thats having "brickwall" problem!

that wall come and goes for me now..coz truely..I dont think its really effecting much of my downloading speed, still sits at 2-3KB/s when it comes to movies with or without The Wall (downloading music is sweet as tho like 20KB/s +)

I dont know if anyone agree wif me here, but maybe that brick doesnt matter that much? or maybe I ve just given up on trying to get ride of it

Hope pple dont think Im retarded...

<3 Jess.
