![]() Ok, I have tried all these things in order to get limewire to work. -manually forwarded 6346 port to my actiontech verizon fios router -manually forwarded 6347 port -disabled windows xp firewall -droped to the lowest firewall protection on my router -Went into control panel above my wireless connection I seen internet gateway under that it says internet connection. I went in there added limewire to a list of available ports. but every time I added limewire and applied the settings it's like they get kicked out and don't stay in. Now if i use the default settings of limewire and log into my router. Fire up limewire I can see Limewire configure itself with my router and trying ports from 35xx to 9859. The globe for connection still has a firewall was detected brick infront of it. How can it be blocked when I have forwarded the ports manually? I have two computers one is wired connection works fine with limewire. But the one I am on now is wireless. I am using a gigafast wireless network card. Is there some kind of automatic no go with limewire and wireless connections? Or is it just the actiontec verizon fios router doesn't allow limewire to connect wirelessly? Here is the os windows xp pro service pack 3 flash recently updated Any help on what else I could do would be appreciated. ![]() -Edit, other things I have tried. I installed Frostwire, connect without even having to forward ports. Just uses what limewire does basically finds a port number on my router that will allow a connection and it goes through no problem on port 7168. So what I tried was uninstalling frostwire and putting back limewire and manually put port 7168 in on my router. Since I figured if that port worked with frost why not lime? Every number I use by the way on my router says it conflicting. I even deleted all my ports on the router. And tried just 7168 with limewire. Still no connection and it says it's conflicting. I believe the problem is either Limewire and a Verizon Fios router are not compatible, or there is some programming that needs to be fixed in the limewire app. But Frostwire looks basically like a clone of Limewire different name and color but it works? I am baffled by this. Last edited by LiquidNeo; August 23rd, 2008 at 04:34 PM. |
