 Cant Connect To Limewire Anymore Hello All... Limewire was working perfectly then about 3 days ago, when I tried to connect, the Screen would come up saying Limewire 4.12.11 then then screen would suddenly disappear and Limewire wont load. I have tried everything I could think of... I checked on my Windows Firewall and the box for Limewire is checked to allow it to work, I Uninstalled Limewire from my System and reinstalled it and it still does the same thing. Is there anything that will help my situation? Thanks guys/gals.   |

 Check that LW is not still running in your processes in you Task Manager first..(ctrl>Alt>delete)...If it is end the process, if it's not try these fixes... Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE offline version....(5th one down) Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5 Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer... http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...oadfree2.shtml If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

| Wondering Why, when I went to my Add or Remove Programs, and I went down to Java, there were quite a few Java Applications that I saw, which one do I get rid of or do I get rid of all of them? Heres what I saw when I got to the Java part of the Add/Remove Programs... J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 10 145.00 MB J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 2 143.00 MB J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 6 145.00 MB J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 8 145.00 MB J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 9 145.00 MB Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE v1.4.2 78.49 MB Java 2 Runtime Envrioment, SE v1.4.2_04 130.00 MB Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE v1.4.2_05 130.00 MB Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE v1.4.2_06 130.00 MB Java(TM) SE Runtime Enviroment 6 Update 1 159.00 MB The reason I am asking is because I play an Online Game that uses Java and I dont want to mess it up lol... I dont want to go and delete the wrong thing and mess up the game. When I reinstall the Offline Java, do I need to do all the updates again or does it come with the newest Java? Thanks again! | If you have games that rely on certain Java's don't delete all of them... Delete the Java 6 and get the offline version of it here...(4th one down) Java SE Downloads
