Why can i download sometimes not others?Sometimes firewall there other times not

4. Hard Disk space available?lots
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)bband

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, , student accomodation, work, etc.)?House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.4.15.11/1.6.0
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?verizon
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?ok
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.no
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.no work sometimes

If you're using Norton, then disable your Windows firewall. I don't know about Vista but I presume you find that in your control panels. Make sure Norton is properly configured to allow LW: Configuring Norton Internet Security

You didn't specify a modem/router which may be the issue. There are some known models that are unreliable/inconsistent but there may be a fix. ;)

Third point I'd make is .... after opening LW let it settle for a while. Now if you use the resume/find more sources function, don't apply it to all incomplete files or else it may cause your modem/router to be flooded & also affect your system, etc. So instead, if you do use that function just apply it to 1-3 files at a time. ;)
