 Your Java seems to be a little outdated try updating it.... Uninstall your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE offline version....(4th one down) Java SE Downloads Also your router has a Nat firewall so you will need to open a port for limewire... Here are your instructions... Port Forwarding for the Linksys BEFSX41

| Thanks, I got things working. I did not have to do anything with my router. I turned off my antivirus (Norton), uninstalled the current version of LW, restarted, I deleted the preferences file, then reinstalled the new version (4.12.11), restarted the computer. Things finally started working. Thanks all for help! |

| Thank you for the information posted here! It worked for me! I followed the directions on deleting the preferences and re-installing Limewire and this worked for me. I have spent days going thru every possible recommendation in the forums and this one actually worked. Thanks again! Great Post  |
