Two days ago stopped trying to connect.

A couple days ago Limewire messed up a bit. When I started it, it said it couldn't restart my downloads, and I had to re-enter all the options (max downloads, max connections, etc.). It does this a lot so I wasn't particularly surprised. However, it also stopped trying to connect, and it seems it's permanent. It says "Connecting" but no connections show up on the Connections page, even temporarily. If I disconnect and connect again, it still doesn't try to connect.

Any ideas?

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Mac OS 9.2.2

2. What firewalls you have? none

3. How much ram? 512 MB ram

4. Hard Disk space available? 588 MB

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Cable

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? RCA digital broadband

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? Home

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LW: 4.0.10

9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Earthlink

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? "Your test worked"

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Experienced user, new problem.

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? No brick wall.

Thanks for the reply. Well, I tried #2 and it didn't help. #3 isn't applicable, #4 is obsolete, #5 and #6 aren't applicable. Don't know if #1 would help, but since LimeWire worked two days ago I'm thinking my Java isn't the problem.

I know nothing about LimeWire, but I'm thinking my program can't access the list of nodes, wherever it's stored. It used to be, on startup, it'd try to connect to like ten nodes. It'd start connections with some, time out with others, and pretty quickly make three connections. Now it's not trying to make ANY. I'm thinking this connection information has moved and my program can't find it.
