Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() 1. OS version? Windows XP 2. What firewalls you have? Win XP Its set to allow LW though. 3. How much ram? 1 gig 4. Hard Disk space available? 126 gigs 5. Connection type? cable 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys WRT54G V8 7. Where are you trying to connect from: House 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.12.11, Java 1.5.0_02 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Cablevision 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? "Your test worked" 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. 1 cable modem hooked to a router which is connected to 2 computers. 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Experienced user. 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes I downloaded something just fine yesterday. Today whatever i download I get need more users. I even used Bitzi and I have the same problem. Please help. I also have the firewall (block) problem even though I get a full 5 bars connection. ![]() Ksk9 Hi. First your java is out of date. Now! Go to, START/Set Program Access/Change or Remove Programs, now completely remove all versions of java. Re BOOT Your computer NOW. Now! Use this Link to get (jre-1.5.11) Use the off line installer, NOT the (recommended) one, Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5 When Download is completed. Disconnect from internet, close ALL apps n reinstall java. Now this part is more involved, you need to portfaward your router & the nearest version I can find is WRT54G V5 so I can link you to that setup page & maybe its the same for NAT/FW I dont Know. You will have to make Different static IPs for each computer & portfaward both to router, using diffrent port No's. Good luck Your servant. Peace.
