maby your Internet provider is blocking lw from being used.

Thank you for the repsonse. I am using the same ISP as before when LW would connect. I have even so much as gone into the LW settings for Firewall Configuration and changed the port to 60494 as instructed in a another forum post for the same problem and still nothing. This is disappointing...I hope this issue gets resolved as I do miss my LW.

Thanks, I got things working. I did not have to do anything with my router. I turned off my antivirus (Norton), uninstalled the current version of LW, restarted, I deleted the preferences file, then reinstalled the new version (4.12.11), restarted the computer. Things finally started working.

The key was deleting the preference file before installing!
