ICON Does not work using 360 ProShare
 

I purchased my 360 ProShare in November 06. Of course my 6 months free support is over but not only that so is my 360 Pro. When I click on the Icon it comes up but after about a minute it just goes off nothing happens.......I tried to uninstall it and re-install but it still does not work....I thought the the $18.99 I paid was a one time deal, I would not even mind if it was 1 year but 6 months.....I do not use it much but still would like to use it....I have downloaded the basic Limewire but have not installed it as I do not want to lose all the songs that are storged in the 360 Pro Download file.......will I use this file or can I get the downloads from the basic if I decide to use it to go into the old file??? I had no problems before so I do not believe that it is my firewall or nortons. I just do not know and there seem to be no way to contact Limewire.....They do not even recognize my mailing address which I have had since day one....

Any help????? Please????

360 ProShare is NOT from the official LW site. They took an old version LW, rewired it slightly & put their own name to it. Mostly scam sites offer 360 ProShare. Just a few days ago someone else using 360 ProShare installed LW & were astonished it was using the same shares & download folder.

As for your older program, ignore the desktop shortcut & go to the program folder & open it directly. If it doesn't open then try for LW instead. Of course your download folder is not in the program folder right? If yes then that's very unwise.

When you say to use LW do you mean the basic because if I did get one off the scam, ( I do believe I went to the Official Site) I will not get to download without paying again will I......I do not mind using the basic as long as all the songs go to my file....with is call 360ProShare Download. It seem to be different than the other file, in other words not in the same file......or can I move them somewhere else to play it safe.....I am not all that familiar on how to use all this stuff...

By default your shared files / downloads will normally be located here: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared
So if they are there, you are safe. That is a long way from your Programs folder.

As for purchasing from LimWire.org, no you obviously didn't but found a site using a search like google which said LW, but wasn't. That is what scam sites do. eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...s-success.html

I'd be curious to know where you purchased your original 360 ProShare because it definitely was not LW.org site. And the price is different.

Thanks. If I still have the original e-mail from the time I joined I will let you know...........I am pretty sure it came from the same site as this but I would guess from your comments that I am wrong...

by the way when I said $18.99 I was just guessing.........I do know that it was $18.00 something............when I did purchase this at first I was charged for some extra like spyware, virus checker and adware but seeing that I already had it they adjusted my price....

That is exactly what scam sites do. Much of those extras are free elsewhere or alternatives are free, such as codecs, virus & spy checkers, etc.

Nowhere at the official site do they offer such stuff. Official LW site

Just one other thing before I stop pesting you as you have been of great help.....can I either rename the 360ProShare Download file I have now or just transfer the songs to my shared music file in My Documents.???:aweof::bangh:

One other last thing, I did download LW Basic but have not intstalled it yet as I was waiting to see what was going to happen with my excisting problem. I will probably install the basic to see how it works and if I am not completely satisfied I will purchase the LW. The cost does not concern me, what I want is a site that will give me full songs and not distorted songs as well as being relatively free from spys, adware and other assorted problems.

When I do download the songs from LW will they go to my share file in My Documents or do you know.???
