Down the bottom of the screen there is only one little green light lit up out of all the bars and there is a picutre of a globe with a brickwall in fornt of it. I run on windows XP and have norton internet security, if that helps however i have put in place exceptions to all limewire programs and ports...i dont know wat else to do!!! !!! any help would be most appreciated!!! thanks x |

It sounds like you might have to configure Norton and limewire...If you are using the Norton firewall disable the windows one as running two can make things clash... Here are your instructions... Port Forwarding for the Norton Internet Security 2007 Also with Java, uninstall what you are running now from your add/remove programs and re-install the JRE 5.11 using the offline installer... (4th one down).... Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5 |
hi thanx for the information, i have change my limewire and norton settings and updated my java but i still have the same problem with the firewall... is there anything else i can do? |
Ok....Well your modem doesn't have a firewall and I know Bigpond don't shape and you have configured Norton's firewall...So will you try this fix as you haven't had to Port Forward so that means you are using UPnP... Let me know if this works...;) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/268764-post1196.html |
