Java version==java -new version 1.6. or 6.1 somethin
Firewall=====windows firewall


Software adjustments made
-i installed new java version,
-i reinstalled LW (beta)

Firewall setting adjusted as well
-added ports exceptions
-allowed to incom/out on
- turned firewall off and on..both times rebooting system.


it was working fine 2 or 3 wks ago....
so inprocess of fixing i loaded LW BETA...

no ip's in {connections} at all

Cox might be your problem. They are reknown as p2p blockers or perhaps it's only LW. They may have detected you sharing a lot of files & downloading a lot & decided to put the brakes on you by putting a special p2p filter/shaper/blocker in place.

Are you using LW Pro? If yes, try uninstalling Java & reverting back to Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

Otherwise, try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)
