Default FAO Limewire

PLease Limewire sort it out. I can connect most of the time but at peak periods I can't. You have a problem and need to acknowledge it rather than telling everyone to try this that and the other!

Sue

Susie, are you a Tiscali user (or does your ISP resell Tiscali)?

Just look at how many Tiscali users are having the same (and other) issues
Tiscali & Limewire
can't connect between 5pm-11pm
I have found a solution to getting Limewire to work with Tiscali

Default Tiscali

Hi
No I'm not a Tiscali user. I was once but had probs and moved.
I have just tried again and lo and behold 20:29 and I am getting starting connection and no further!
I bet when I try tomorrow morning there will be no problem.
Also I asked my friend whi has a different ISP and surprise surprise he can't connect at certain times!
Really glad I chose to go pro!!!!
It would be nice to hear anyone saying they can connect.
Kind regards
Susie

Hey Susie, at least you can connect. I haven't been able to connect at all. I am likely going to send Limewire a mail to their customer service department. If they want to keep their customers, they better address these issues at the source and not blame it on ISP, Java, router settings, etc and expect the customers to be tech savvy. User friendliness is the key here. I'm going to try to find another download program.

If you can't move service provider because you are on a contract (Usually a year) if you are having illegal problems with Tiscali/Pipex, by illegal I mean they advertise ''Unlimited'' downloads, then complain ,to links provided http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...tml#post269822
Hope this helps but OFTEL and link are best bet, hope this helps,

we are not afraid, I use Sympatico in Canada. I've NEVER had a problem in 3 years using the same ISP and all of a sudden, all sorts of problems. Logic would say that it is not my ISP causing the problems. Especially when others with other ISPs are experiencing the same problem.

Are you saying you've used Limewire for three years with no problem? If Limewire didn't change, it means that your ISP probably changed. It happens ALL THE TIME. Many ISPs are cracking down on p2p users. Have you taken the time to contact your ISP and ask them if they limit p2p users?
