Can not connect

I have gone through all of your instructions in previous questions and have even disconnected my router to make sure it was not blocking lime wire.
I STILL can not connect. I just purchased the PRO and now i cant even download anything. I would like my money back unless this is resolved. Why can't i connect?
I have windows xp and have turned off all of my firewall and security settings and i still have one bar.

Limewire doesn't offer refunds, so it is always wise to use the free basic version first...;)

can't connect

I can't connect either. I have three computers in my home office and I can connect great with one of them, the other two, no way. Of course, one of those other two is the one I want to use. So, I will keep searching for why I can't connect and if you find anything out, let me know as I would appreciate it also.:bangh:

I've just installed Lime Wire and can't download any video files. I always get the message need more sources. What do I have to do? The top of the screen says enabling open information sharing.
Thanks everyone

me too!

I downloaded my first video over the weekend and it downloaded in a Xvid format, after about 15 hours of frustration,:bangh: I finally found ConvertXtoDVD, what a nice program! You may want to try it when you can finally download a video. Their browser is really easy to work, it took about 35 minutes to convert the video into a dvd format and then it automatically burned the disc! Took about another 1/2 hour to burn the disc, and the quality is great. I tried the free trial first and it burns a message into the video, but I wanted to make sure it would work okay before I plunked the $40 bucks down. Now, I can't connect to Limewire from another computer within my home and I'm having the exact same trouble you are, so if you find out anything I'd appreciate it you passing it on to me and I'll do the same for you. Good luck!

success123...You will have to provide the details of the computer you want limewire to run on, if we don't have this info we don't know...Mind reading isn't one of my better attributes...;)

PhilipTomazin....Fake files are your problem, the network is littered by them....This thread will explain more, also take note of the Bitzi link, if it's not rated then stay away from it...;)

Sorry guys I can't work out any of this stuff (not super computer smart). Windows Firewall is not on, Windows Defender is loaded and I can't see it blocking Limewire (not sure where to look). If I can do songs OK it can't be the firewall can it? I right click on file eg [edit] in the search panel and do the Bitzi thing but always get the message

We're sorry, but Bitpedia has no information about the bitprint:

Starting to get disheartened, need a trooper to help me out.
PS I need to transfer 5800 songs from my iPod to iTunes which I stuffed up, any recommendations for a free program that can handle this number? iPod to Computer gives me this message on booting : This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Help me Obi Wan Kinobe's, you're my only hope.

Please remove your reference to downloading copyrighted material. It's against the forum rules. Click 'Edit' at the bottom of your post.

The reason that Bitzi has no information on the file: it's probably fake. (Especially if it has a lot of sources).

Good Luck

As it would appear that you don't want any help, I won't offer any. It seems that you are an expert, and since you can't get it working, it must be crap. If you would care to humble yourself and ask nicely, we may actually be able to help.
