connection problems due to firewall
 

Hello,
This is my first time posting. I hope everyone else hasn't gone crazy trying to figure out their firewall problems because I am about to. I have windows XP version 2002 service pack 2. I have cable internet and an AC97 smart data fax modem with smartCP. I removed norton because it was slowing down my computer and installed avast 4.7 home edition. I have limewire pro edition and java SE 6. My windows firewall is turned off and limewire is listed as an exception in avast. I would like to know why I keep seeing that little brick wall in front of the world. I had 360 share pro which worked fine at another apartment, but not at this one so I am trying to work with limewire. Please help.

I guess I will reply to my own question by saying that while waiting for a reply I used a little common sense and read more connetion problem info. I have optimum online and it turns out that it has caused problems for other people before. I changed my listening port and now my connection is turbocharged.
