private networks under limewire??

with limewire 2.0.2 - 2.0.4 How do I set up a private network??

I'm on a windows box, My girlfriend is on a Mac, and we want to share files privately! How do we do this with limewire???

Have you tried just adding each others IP numbers or DNS names in Quick Connect under Options?
